Lyu Xiaokai, born in 1998, currently works and lives in Hangzhou. He graduated from the China Academy of Art in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Chinese painting and has been pursuing a Master's degree in Chinese painting at the same academy since 2021. Lü Xiaokai's creations often revolve around a plot or an action provided by image materials. The artist strips the original narrative structure of the image and then places the image in an absurd, yet thought-provoking visual structure, responding to various sensations in modern life with a sense of humor.
